Divine Sound is Revealed to Us

Have you ever had those days when even your favorite playlist fails you? Or conversely, when you’re in some random place and every single song is magical? What is the power behind the music when the beat drops and you absolutely HAVE to dance? This is one of the many meanings of divine sound and is one of the results of purifying our body, our mind, and our seeds through yoga.
聲音，本質上不過是分貝和音調，我們對其驚艷的感知，不僅僅是因為編曲，不僅僅是因為歌手的嗓音，而是因為我們的種子迫使我們以神聖的方式來體驗這一切。
Sounds, essentially nothing more than decibels and tones, are perceived as amazing not just because of the musical arrangement, not just because of the singer’s voice, but because our seeds force us to experience these in a divine way.
但瑜伽遠不止於此。斯瓦特瑪拉瑪大師所說的神聖聲音，是氣在氣脈和脈輪中通過時所產生的內在身的聲音。通常，當堵塞被清除時，這些聲音（如同內在的重擊聲）就會被「聽到」。其他常見的內在聲音還包括如定音鼓、溪流或類似音爆的聲音。
But yoga goes even deeper than that. The divine sounds Master Swatmarama is talking about are the sounds of the inner body resulting from the prana moving through the channels and chakras. Often these sounds (like an inner whump) are 「heard」 when a blockage is cleared. Other common inner sounds include a kettle drum, a stream, or something akin to a sonic boom.
這些都是瑜伽練習取得成功的極好徵兆，也是身體和意識得到淨化的指標。到達這種程度時，我們也可以期待這些神聖的聲音外顯出來。例如，我們可能會在和同事的閒聊中，聯想起一個深刻的真理，又或者可能從風吹過樹梢的聲音中，聽到了關於無常的教導。這些都是斯瓦特瑪拉瑪大師所教授的神聖聲音的例子。
These are excellent signs of successful yoga practice and are indicative of the purification of the body and mind. At this point, we can also expect these divine sounds to manifest externally. For instance, we may be reminded of a profound truth during a casual conversation with a co-worker, or perhaps we hear a teaching on impermanence from the sound of the wind as it rustles through the trees. These are all examples of divine sound as taught by Master Swatmarama.
